GOV. GAIDAM VOWS TO END FOOD INSECURITY…

“If not because of the support and commitment of H.E Governor Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Gaidam FCNA, FCPA to agriculture, we could not have achieved what we are celebrating these days.”  - Mustapha Goggobe (PM ADP)

By Umar Ibrahim Usman & Mansur Madaki

Mustapha Goggobe is the present Yobe State Programme Manager of Agricultural Development Programme (ADP). He is a well trained, skillful and a professional farmer. He is a consultant, hardworking and cognizant agriculturalist as well as a dedicated civil servant. He was a tutor, and a vigorous instructor in agriculture. He started his agricultural career at Chad Basin Development Authority after obtaining his Diploma certificate in Agriculture in the year 1977.  He was in Chad Basin from 1978 to 1984. Upon the time he finish  Higher National Diploma  (HND) in 1982, Goggobe resign from  Chad basin immediately after completion of his NYSC, where he join the University of Maiduguri till the time he became Farm Manager, Crop Science Department, Faculty of Agriculture and studied in same Faculty and obtained Bsc Agriculture. More so, Goggobe’s enthusiasm, diligence and passion for the Agriculture were acknowledged by the Modibbo Adama University - Yola, where their team  saddled with the responsibility of establishing the University Farm.

Thereafter, he was given an offer by the Yobe state Government in 1994. Immediately after he join the service, Goggobe begin to showcase his talent by exposing his creativity, after he successfully write a memo and convince the government to introduce horticulture unit in the state, under the ministry of agriculture in which he was appointed the Deputy Director in charge of Horticulture then. Establishment of Horticulture unit in Yobe State can be credited to his originality.

Moreover, Mustapha Goggobe went back to University where he obtain  Masters Degree as well, forwhy of his strong desire to build a successful career and to left an upstanding legacy in Agriculture. Due to his upholding believe in knowledge, as he always says that “no place for illiteracy in agriculture; A farmer is always supposed to be updated.” Meanwhile farmers need training and retraining continuously. In his quest for knowledge, he attended numerous courses both within Nigeria and  in various countries like Israel, China and Benin Republic among others.

Afterwards, Goggobe was nominated for the post of Yobe state Agronomist by the then Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) and after this assignment and again seconded to a UNDP vacancy as Programme Manager Agriculture by the ministry of agriculture. He served as a provost of College of Agriculture ‘Mamudo’ before it was relocated to ‘Gujba’ under his Administration. He works with Northeast Arid Zone Development Programme (NEAZPD) Gashua as Agronomist. He was also Deputy Director in ministry of Agric., Agricultural Services and later on Deputy General Manager of Fertilizer Company, and later rouse to General Manager of the company. He serves as a Director of Agric Services Yobe State ministry of Agriculture among others.

INER: What is the first thing you do after you became Programme Manager ADP?

Goggobe: it has become my nature, that wherever I found myself I use to create something. Therefore through my initiatives I was able to make Changes in places where I worked.  Hence, I did the same when came to ADP. Because when I came many things are not in good shape. So as a professional, I encourage our staff to wake up, and work together in order to see that our farmers enjoying with new innovative that will improve their livelihood.

INER: What are your achievements?

Let me start with the issue of counterpart funding of Agricultural projects like FADAMA III, AF 11 project, IFAD, and National Programme for Food Security (NPFS). Under FADAMA III project the World Bank allocated 10 Million Dollars to Yobe state to be implemented by FADAMA111 AF 11 targeted for livelihood restoration to IDPs, Returnees and Host communities, but they are looking for counterpart funds of 20 million Naira from the state government, similarly IFAD also needs 40 million Naira, while NPFS request 74 Million Naira as a counter fund. Therefore these are the set conditions for FADAMA III, IFAD, & National Programme for Food Security.  We thank Allah SWT and our Governor on receiving the conditions, he immediately prioritize and approved the payment of all the  counter fund funding for the benefit of our rural farming families .Again the state government released over 38 million Naira for the supply of tractor tires and tubes , spare parts ,threshers, implements and equipments for rehabilitation of 10 tractors and fertilizer was procured and sold to farmer through the 17 LGAs for the benefit of our grassroots small holder farmers. Hence this is not a small achievement.

Activities of the insurgences caused a lot of havocs and lost lives , properties etc in the state, in which many donor agencies are in the state to offer their humanitarian assistance to IDPs returning to their communities, Host Communities and remaining IDPs in camps. INGOs like FAO-UN consider ADP as implementing partner implementing their mission effectively within the state. FAO procure and distributes farm inputs like improved seeds and fertilizers for rain fed and irrigated crop production while organization like WFP,CRS, ACF,NERI etc supplies both food assistance and some combine both.  We normally give adequate advises to all organizations that are willing to distribute livelihood restoration inputs through the Food Security Working Group monthly meeting chaired by the ADP Programme Manager. Every month, we are assessing which organization do what, the criteria used and at where in order to avoid duplication and or marginalization of some communities.  In this 2017 rainy season FAO targeted and distributed farm inputs (assorted seeds and fertilizer) to 33,000 most vulnerable households in 15 local governments of the state.

Moreover, ADP is collaborating with Lake Chad Research institute  conducting monthly training to ADP Extension Agents in the two zones with new Agricultural Innovations. NAERLS, ABU, Zaria and ICRISAT, Kano also release foundation seeds for trials by our farmers under their watch, which will eventually be selected for seed multiplication annually.

This year (2017), new concept was created tagged ,Accelerating Agriculture Development: titled partnership approach to cereal-legume systems improvement in Yobe state conceived by FAO Nigeria in collaboration with International Crops Research Institute For The Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Kano and Yobe State ADP as implementing partner. The major objective of the project are to establish a functional, broad partnership for the evaluation, dissemination and marketing of improved cereal-legume technologies and produce; evaluate and disseminate improved cereal and legumes varieties and cereal-legume-livestock system in Yobe state; and strengthen the capacity of smallholder farmers, youth and women’s groups to efficiently use improved agricultural technologies, processing and agricultural services provision. The project is currently going on in 4 LGAs (Damaturu,Fune, Potiskum and Nangere) among the 17 LGAs of the state. Through farmer field schools, technology centres and other activities, the project will directly reach 5,000 farmers, small processors and service providers (an average of 1000 per LGA) with improved agronomic systems, seeds of improved varieties of selected crops and processing for household nutrition and income generating activities. In addition, the project will link over 50,000 farmers, processors and other stakeholders through field days, radio talk shows and dissemination of extension materials.

Due to modern technology on soil status directly in the field provision of selecting one subject matter specialist to be trained by FAO in collaboration with FMARD , one of our SMS benefited from the training and bagged a set of on the spot soil testing kit aimed to train Extension Agents is all the LGAs.

We also distribute different pamphlets on various aspects of agricultural production and also air ADPs extension activities through Radio twice every week since 2014 with subject matter specialist and periodic TV programs and print media to disseminate our activities.

ADP staff have not enjoyed annual promotion for a long period, therefore to boost their moral I constituted both junior and senior staff committees headed by the Program Manager and Director Human Resources respectively and promoted all deserving officers with full financial benefits.

NERM: If we’re sitting here a year from now celebrating what a great year it’s been for you in this role, what did you achieve?

Goggobe: Due to the activities of insurgency; there is food insecurity in the state. I am very confident to inform you that by next year the food insecurity will be substantially decreased and possibly food security will be restored or it will be far better than this year. This is imperative because  of the food production in Yobe state have substantially increased this year, due to the commitment of present administration call to adopt agriculture,   I am very happy the Governor (Alh.( Dr.) Ibrahim Gaidam Fcna,Fcpn) put forth agriculture among his priorities with leading example to become  integrated farmer himself; hence, there is ongoing revolution in agricultural sector in Yobe state today. The present administration set up task force on irrigation to harness the irrigation potential areas of the state, it is a revolution because irrigation schemes were created by former Borno state since 1970s, and after the creation of Yobe no Government has ever think about reviving it. Yet, the present administration invested/dedicated more than one billion naira to irrigation schemes across the state. The task force has since swung into action commenced work at Garin Gada in  Yunusari LGA,( one of the biggest irrigation schemes inherited from former Borno state), also Jumbam in Bursari LGA and Boloram in Gaidam LGA where wash bores are drilled accompanied with motorized pumps allocated to dry season farmers, while in Nguru lake, canals, water gates, dykes etc with big hydro flow pumps are under construction. This project will cover all irrigation potential area of the state including Ngalda , Gadana in Fika LGA amongst many others, to cater  for over 40,000 youth farmers.

NERM: all what you are talking about are Capital projects, and some small scales farmers are in urgent need of financial support (startup capital), what is Yobe state government is doing of this?

Goggobe: Concerning this we have National Programme for Food Security, FADAMA III, and IFAD; these three organization i.e. National Programme for Food Security disburse  interest free loans to  farmers at different communities within their catchment areas. Farmers normally form cooperative groups of common farming activities e.g rainy season farmers associations, livestock farmers, fisheries, irrigated farmers associations etc., the association are registered with state government and each Association will open an account with each members monthly contributions and the loan will  be deposited to their account directly and the association  signatories to the account will withdraw the loan and distribute to beneficiaries. Beneficiaries will be guided on how to pay back the loan by providing them with account number or through site managers that will follow them for collection after harvest. Immediately after repayment others members will benefit. All these will not be possible devoid of counterpart payment by Yobe state Government under the leadership of HE Alh (Dr) Ibrahim Gaidam Fcna,Fcpa . Similarly, FADAMA III has their own empowerment style, e.g they distribute ram and sheep or goats to women accompanied with feeds, drugs and food support to each beneficiary and at the same the beneficiaries receives capacity building and Advisory Service trainings on how to utilize items received. However, all the three project are strictly supervised by the nation headquarters where all activities are designed with cost estimates and must be followed according to specification and Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Agriculture must be briefed. Credit must also goes to the Hon commissioner Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Engr. Mustapha Gajerima mnae who support all the activities throughout implementations.

NERM: Do you have a scheme of assisting farmers after harvest?

In Yobe state, we have Market linkage; we assist seed growers with market linking. In case of Fish farmers, we have our staff that are going round to link them with hotels and other buyers that will buy in large quantity. As am speaking to you now, National Programme for Food Security constructed and equipped a fifty million worth of company at  Badejo, Potiskum LGA called Bubaram/Gakoko grain processing company limited , where maize grits, flour etcetera are processed and sold public, hence value addition has been achieved. The company employs more than twenty people which also created employment opportunity to the community.  We are also discouraging the seed growers (farmers) to avoid immediate selling of their harvest until after we find suitable market for them. Until we analyze the market and provide them market. We also give loan to farmers breed rams and target Sallah Festivals; also during fasting period we did the same to fish farmers.

NERM: How do you relate with World Food Programme (WFP)?

World Food Program (WFP) is UN outfit saddled with food distribution to most vulnerable communities in a crisis affected areas all over the world. In Yobe state WFP are around for some years back distributing food to thousands of most vulnerable House Holds in Yobe state. WFP and ADP are collaborating to end hunger in Yobe state.

NERM: Are there any efforts to curtail shortage of eggs in Yobe State, because most of it was brought from neighboring states (by improving poultry farming)?

In general farming in Nigeria as a whole and  Yobe state  in particular  has become a business due yearnings by our President Muhammad Buhari and our dynamic  Governer Alh Ibrahim Gaidam, it is no more means of getting only food to eat  as it was upheld by some of our traditional farmers. The present administration has encouraged farming to be a business.

We are encouraging our people to invest in agriculture through enlightenment and consultations. I want to ensure you that, very soon many people will come on board, because they begin to understand our programmes inviting people to invest in agricultural production being our way of living . Moreover, not only poultry production, fisheries but other aspects of agriculture  will be attracted to many individuals to adopt as the present  government changed agricultural view to be a profitable venture.

“The Greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things together.” Ronald Reagan.

Mustapha Goggobe, Programme Manager,Yobe State  Agricultural Development Programme (YOSADP) said “This is the type of leadership we have in Yobe state, Alh.( Dr.) Ibrahim Gaidam fcna, fcpa Is a leader who has a great sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self – restraint to keep meddling with them while they do it”. If not because of the support and commitment of Governor Gaidam to Agriculture, we could not have achieved what we are celebrating these days.”

Gaidam has pledge to end hunger with the way he is encouraging farmers with all the necessary support.

INERM: So, Engr. Usman M. Kallamu, what’s your story?
As i have said, my name is Engr. Usman Kallamu, the Acting Rector Federal Polytechnic Damaturu. I was born 16 January 1964. I attended Daban Fulani Primary School in Kwame Local Government Gombe State 1970 – 1977. From there I proceeded to Government Secondary School Nafada from 1979 – 1982 from my junior secondary school. In 1984 I proceeded to Government Science Secondary school Gombe Where I passed out in 1964.
Thereafter, I proceeded to Kaduna Polytechnic 1985 – 1988 where I read Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. After that, I obtained my HND at Kaduna Polytechnic 1996 – 1993. By 1994 I went back to my working place, and in 1996 – 1997 I went to University of Agriculture Makurdi where I read post graduate diploma in mechanical engineering. From there in 2000 – 2005 I was in AbubakarTafawaBalewa University for my masters in Engineering. And then from 2011 to date I went to University of Agriculture Makurdi to obtain my Ph.D., which I have already defended, now i am waiting for my result. That is all of this.
For my working career, I have started working as assistant technical officer in Gombe local government up to the level of senior technical officer. From there I transfer my service to get an appointment here. I came here 1st April 1995 as assistant director of works, so I was in works department up to 2000, then I transfer my service from non-academic to academic staff, I remain in academic from 2000 to date. I started as higher principal instructor up to chief instructor, thereafter I change my cadre to lecturer cadre, as I am talking to you now, and I am one of the chief lecturers of this polytechnic. This is just a brief.
NERM: If we’re sitting here a year from now celebrating what a great year it’s been for you in this role, what did you achieve?
I took over the affairs of this institution 16thJanuary 2017 which is just a months early this year, from this time I took over in this moment I have done my best to see that at least I carry everybody along, because there was a lot of misunderstanding, hence when I came on board I did my possible best to see that I carry everybody along. So that everybody that has something to contribute is welcome in order to move this polytechnic to a greater height attain. Therefore I call all the polytechnic community, if there is anybody who thinks that there is something he can offer to the polytechnic anytime they are free to come and meet me. Been the head of this polytechnic doesn’t mean I am the most known, or I am better than any, I myself cannot move the polytechnic to a greater height attain until when others give me their contributions.
So what I did was to make sure I carry everybody along to see if there is any problem what is the problem, in order to look at it realistically to solve it, if there is any interest, let us put the interest aside to face the reality and work on it. If it is something against me I will appreciate it, if it is against others I will say please accept it. By doing so we can move the polytechnic forward. But if anyone of us is doing his own differently, based on his interest there is problem. Hence, we should put the interest that is what I did, and I get the cooperation of the polytechnic community.
NERM: if you were able to maintain this relations like the way you are doing no, what do you think you will achieve by next year?
There is no any organization or society thatcan succeed without peace, and if there is peace and good working relations through carrying everybody along by next year we will achieve a lot. We are expecting construction projects from TETFUND, and before then I ask each department to give us their own area of need and estimate. What amount do they want to see that within our limited resources if we can be able to do?
So with this, before the end of the year by the grace of God we are going to achieve a lot. Already we have identify all the problems and areas that needs urgent attention. We have already earmarked the equipment each department need. By the grace of God in the next four month we will startimplementing. As soon as approval came from TETFUND you will start seeing changes. With this before the end of the year you will see and a lots of changes in terms of infrastructures.
Before the end of the year I want this school to be online in whatever e re doing, now all our registrations, buying of forms, and in whatever we are doing I don’t want it to continue the way it is during my time. So we will change in to e-system. Our library is going to be e-library that is our hope by god grace.
NERM: Sir in your opinion, it seems like you belongs to everybody and you belong to nobody. And in terms of carrying everybody along as you said is what you did when you come on board. So we don’t hear you talking about carrying students along through their representatives i.e. the student union government we don’t know whether there is good working relations between management and SUG, is like the union is going down and in provision of recreation facilities for students relaxation?
Thank you very much, when I came on board, there was no student union government, so what I did was that, I call on the student affairsofficer (the Director), to meet with the chairman of various states unions that are here, in order to know what is their problems, so that we can see which one we can tackle. After he met with them. We discuss their problem with him which is primarily the need for Student Union Government. Hence, I give him the directive to go and start preparing on how this student union government is going to be formed. As I am taking to you now the SUG is coming in a short possible time.  Prior to SUG elections I go around hostels to see what is going on, and I orders the director of works to forward all the observations to see how we can go about.
Hence, without students nobody will be here, so all of us are here because of the student. That is why we have much concern to students than any other thing. All what we are planning to brig equipmentand infrastructures was to prepare a conducive atmosphere and practical facilities for them to have a comfortable environment.
NERM: Sir, been a human being there are something you like and those you don’t like, What things do you not like to do?
When I took over I have already tell my subordinates, and all the Unions that are coming to me for courtesy call. I tell them two things, that whenever they are coming to me they should please tell me the truth. What I don’t like is to be misled by somebody on something that is not true. What is like is honesty all the time, I don’t want to be deceived. I usually pass these messages to my directors, unions among others. Whatever we are discussing we should face the reality and do things that are in order and keep aside things that are not in order.
NERM; can you please tell us about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career.
You know every institutions either polytechnic, college of education or university; its programmes has to be accredited, that accreditation has so many rules and set of guidelines before a particular programme to be accredited. So, what I like most now is that we are having accreditation by either second or last quarter of this year. So what I like most is to make sure that the equipment that are needed for accreditation are obtained. Secondly you know a polytechnic that doesn’t have engineering is just a mono-technic, so I want to have a comprehensive engineering complex in which our people will be train so that the can be self-reliant after graduation.
NERM: sir, do you have a role model that you are copying in trying to achieve your goal?
This question it seem to me like you want me to refer to somebody else. For me anybody who is willing to do something good and standard he is my role model. I don’t want to specifically mention a particular person. All I know that I have in my mine is that I want to achieve or execute my projects to standard, so that everybody that come across it will appreciate. Everybody on that track is my role model.

.........My Tribute to the Management and Staff of Mai Idris Alooma Polytechnic Geidam, Yobe State.........

Today mark the end of our two days visitation to Mai Idris Alooma Polytechnic Geidam , where we thoroughly   go around and inspect all infrastructures as well as teaching and learning facilities in the poly. I am very glad to share our memorable experience to the public..

I am so thankful and i really appreciate the effort of MIA POLY management and staff for shifting the institution to another milestone. While  here,  i will never forget the effort of the team that work tirelessly under my leadership as Chief Executive Officer of  UMAYYFA COMMUNICATION LINKS LTD that led  them.  It is also a privilege that i was opportune to led Inside Northeast Region Magazine  editorial board,  as their  Editor - in - Chief during this assignment. . Hence  my special thanks goes to The Admin Director Of UMAYYFACOM LTD  Mansur Madaki,  the Editorial Staff of Inside Northeast Magazine  such as; Musa Ado (Managing Editor), Suleiman Ali Gambo (Deputy Editor In Chief), Hon. Garba Isah Adamu (Board Member), and Abdulhamid (Correspondent)  that joins  and support me to successfully deliver this assignment.

More so, the Rector of the Poly Engr. Hussaini Abatcha Geidam MNSE,  is been an inspiring character, just like what William Arthur Ward said "The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The Superior Teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." This is an inspiring character as  seen how his subordinates the endorse that.

Engr. Geidam holds three precious things, the gentleness, frugality and humility. To be precise, this is a man that wants his state (Yobe) to leave more amply, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. He is a leader that does not only take people to where they want to go, he is not also taking them to where they don't necessarily want to go, but he carry them along to where they are ought to be. The pictorial evidences below are enough to speak on his behalf.

Therefore, these personalities has become  pillars to the success in MIA POLY, Hassan Sheriff  (Deputy Rector Admin), Muhammed Adamu MNATE (Deputy rector Academics), Idriss Mohammed Jajere (Registrar), Muhammed Karfa Bizi CLN (Librarian), Alhaji Grema Ibrahim CNA (Bursar), Malam Idi Abdullahi (Director of Works), Malam Gana Usman (Student Affairs Officer), and our special appreciation to Dr. Jibo who go around with us briefing us on every aspect corner we go.

MIA Poly is among the few schools that are bless with a sound, vibrant and energetic academic staff, with  more than 60 percent of its academic staff obtained their higher degrees in the  first class universities in UK, America and Canada.

Therefore, i will not be wrong to say MIA poly is the most digitalize institution in Yobe state considering their IT infrastructures and digital equipments in their laboratories. Looking at how they digitalize their entire system with fully functioning  e-library, e-application, e-registration and e-administration  system the  poly embibed.  Thus they have change their system to a digital landscape....

I may wish to call on the general public to utilize this singular opportunity by utilising this resources to send their children, Family and friend  to MIA Poly to be trained on different areas of human endeavor.

More interestingly the center of entrepreneurial development is well equip with printing machines, soap making materials, perfume, carpentry, sewing and many more which facilities to prepare young graduate to be self reliant.

In a nutshell i will at this juncture appreciate the effort of Yobe state government under the leadership of His Excellency Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Geidam in its intervention to the development of the poly. My call goes to presidential committee on Northeast and NGOs operating in the Northeast to come in complementing the effort of  Yobe State Government towards educational development to renovate some of the dilapidated  buildings in the institution that are destroyed by the Boko Haram insurgents.

WHY DO WE NEED BEGO?
“Silence becomes cowardice when occasion demands speaking out the whole truth and acting accordingly.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
It does not matter whatever one may think, let us explicitly tell the truth. Telling the truth is never easy, but truth has incredible power in itself and is a necessary component for a fulfilling life. It is not only beneficial for the person who is telling the truth, but also for the person who is told the truth.
Let’s be honest, most of the time, we slightly distort the truth in order to “manipulate” people around us, aren’t we? Why are we doing that? Because when we tell the truth we give up all power to control people around us.
If I tell you a painful but necessary truth, I take the risk that you resent me, or worse, reject me, and that is very scary. But i have to say it.
This is not a mere opinion but an appeal to all our senior stake-holders in Yobe State to kindly consider the people's proposals ( as an alternative) for Bade/Jakusko federal constituency. Following the fact that, we need people that are sound like Abdullahi Bego in the National Assembly; whom can stand up and talk, argue, introduce, disregard, proposed, reject and or accept laws in favor of the masses. He is endowed with special skills and approachability in leadership. Educationally Bego have reached a certain threshold in the higher education.
As we all know, change will never be possible without knowing the truth. I cannot change something in myself if I’m not aware that it is there and that it needs to be changed. How can people around us change if they are not told the truth?
However, instead of telling the truth we often hide it because we don’t want to upset others. Deep down we don’t want to be rejected and we are scared of letting go of any control we have over people. We refuse to give people the freedom to reject us or to get angry at us and want to control them. Because of that we prevent them from growing.
There are certain characteristics found in Abdullahi Bego that naturally put him in a position where he is looked up to as a leader. His soundness and professionalism give him the chance to be the longest serving director of press affairs in the history of Yobe State..
Meanwhile, Bego is committed to excellence. He maintains a high standard in every work he did , he is also proactive in raising the bar in order to achieve excellence in all areas within his jurisdiction.
However, Bego possess skills such as good communication skills, premonition (or ability to predict events). His Charismatic personality can be use as a political tool, which can be utilize as an advantage to sell him easily and influence people. If not because I don't want to say much, I could have talk much about his philanthropic benevolence; but here people of Bade/Jakusko Constituency are the best to speak on this.
He is Sincere, Honest, Understanding, Loyal, Truthful, Trustworthy, Intelligent, Dependable, Open-Minded, Thoughtful, Wise, Considerate, Good-Natured, Reliable and unselfish personality.
In my interaction with Bego, i learn that he have the determination to work harder than most and make sure things get done. He use to be proud of himself on seeing things getting completed. Thus he drive himself with purpose and align with excellence. He can make hard decisions and stand by them.
Bego has the will-power and strength to see things through-- he don't vacillate or procrastinate. When he want it, he make it happen. Therefore this is the attitude of all world's greatest achievers as they always stayed focused on their goals and been consistent in their efforts.
As we know the role of communication in every social interaction, which is why; one cannot be a good representative without a very good communication skills. Therefore here i may say Bego is an authority as we are all aware of the role he played as an image maker and spoke person to the Yobe state government for a decade. He is an orator and communication icon we never had in the history of Yobe.
“Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth.”
― William Faulkner
Lets us join hands together to send Abdullahi Bego for active, vibrant, meaningful and reliable representation in the National Assembly... ABDULLAHI BEGO, The beacon of Hope!

"ISLAM IS THE MOST PEACEFUL RELIGION OF THE WORLD" - United Nations. TERRORIST RELIGION AND ISLAM. By Umar Usman The word 'Islam' is direcly translated as 'peace.' While the 'Islam' as a religion depict peaceful practices of the religion. The 'Muslim' simply mean the person who strictly adhere to the peaceful practices of the religion. Hence, there is no single evidence written or unwritten, where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) orders his companions to commit suicide just to kill. Rather the Prophet (PBUH) is a peace advocate that humanity never know his alike. He is the guiding star, the model and an icon to reckon with. Qur'an as a holy book, serves as the operational manual of Muslim, it never instruct what so ever kind of conflict. Henceforth, it is only Qur'an and Prophet that true Muslim follow as guidance. Terrorism share nothing in common with Islam, rather they are parrarel and opposing one another. That is why Muslims around the world are the prime target of the terrorist (the so called Muslims ). The religion of the terrorist is to terrify the world, ensure human insecurity and kills who ever opposed distruction mission. That is why the human race all over the world perceived as enemies to terrorist. They can dangerously ensure only the safety of people supporting their mision, directly or indirectly, at the same time whenever they face with slight disagreement, they will fight one another. That is why, it is radiculous! fighting and killing is taking place across the world in an unprecedented scale, there's incessant bombing of public places, mass shootings in a public assembly or congregation, planting bomb in work, whorship and market places just to record tragic casulties is what became the corner stone of the terrorist religion. Terrorist are claiming Islam as there religion. But if you take a look at Islam, it will be easier for you to distinguish Muslim and Terrorist. Muslim follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Qur'an, but Terror follow his personal idiosyncracy of distructing life and property. Terror is terrifying, while Muslim is peaceful. Terror break laws of sovereign state he lives, while Muslim Obey laws. Is there any relationship between the two religion? I leave the rest for you to judge.
